Physiotherapy
What to expect at a Physio session
At Inspire, we conduct an in-depth assessment of your postural alignment, movement, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance to determine the underlying causes of your pain and how they affect your daily life.
Our goal is to restore pain-free movement and increase strength, flexibility and function. We provide you with strategies to maintain these improvements, using a holistic approach that promotes rapid healing and prevents future injuries.
We utilise a range of Physiotherapy techniques
Here are some of the key treatments we provide:
Joint, Nerve, & Muscle Release
A hands on approach for relieving pain, increasing movement and restoring function. Beneficial for clients experiencing stiffness or limited movement from pain or injury.
Dry Needling
Similar to acupuncture, dry needling involves the insertion of thin needles into muscular trigger points to relieve pain and muscle tension.
Trigger Point Therapy
This therapy focuses on releasing specific tight points within muscles that are causing pain and restricted movement. It is especially useful for chronic muscle pain and tension.
Myofascial Release
A type of massage that releases tightness and pain held in the tissue that surrounds, connects and supports muscles. Improves movement, decreases pain and tension allowing deep body relaxation.
Exercise Programs
Customised exercise programs, either as part of a home care regimen or as a stand alone exercise training session, based on the principles of kinetic link training (functional movement patterns).
What to know before your first Physio session
During your first visit, you'll outline your health concerns so we can understand your medical history and how it is impacting on your daily life. We will then assess your postural alignment, movement, strength, flexibility and balance.
After the assessment is complete, we will explain what we've found and the best course of action moving forwards.
At the end of your session, we will re-evaluate your movement patterns to measure the improvement from treatment.
